The cognitive model describes how people's thoughts and perceptions influence the way they feel and behave. The cognitive model is at the core of CBT-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and it plays a critical role in helping therapists conceptualize and treat their clients' difficulties.
It connects and explains the situation which occurs, how a person’s thoughts start after the situation takes place and following that what the person feels after having those thoughts and lastly how he/she acts on it which explains the daily behaviour of a person.
