QUALITIES THAT I ASPIRE TO DEVELOP WITHIN MYSELF
Today, I'm sharing with you the 8 things that I admire most in people around me.
Warmth is the ability to be giving and looking beyond yourself. I believe the greatest joys of life include giving a part of yourself to others. It means having empathy and compassion. Compassionate people are not just the happiest but also significantly attractive to others.
Compassion isn’t the same thing as empathy. It’s more than understanding someone else’s feelings. Compassion is selfless caring for another. Compassion requires action. That’s why it tops my list. 'There is more to life than just yourself'.
Fun-loving and light-hearted people, who live life joyfully and enjoy the journey are really wonderful to be around. These are people who are jolly and enthusiastic by nature. The ability to laugh at yourself and making others laugh is beautiful.
Ambition gives you the will to learn and strong determination to take charge of your life. It also means having
the courage to work on things when they don't go your way, instead of just sitting and complaining.
People who are full of fire and the will to do something are the ones who make a difference in the world, they are the kind of people whose hard work shines bright.
It is something that is incredibly attractive. Being humble about your achievements and knowledge and not making everything about yourself. Having the heart to accept your mistake or learning from a person who is your subordinate.
It means treating people with respect, especially people who're not as influential as you: maybe an intern, the cleaning lady, waiter etc.
There are some people who are just consistent with everything in life, may it be work, they will keep on working towards their goals relentlessly and not just once in a while.
Even in relationships, they will continue to put consistent effort in people to show them that they are loved. Knowing you can count on someone, that they are faithful, is a quality worth emulating.
Some people who just own up to being their real self, and honestly they are my absolute favorite. They know that they are not perfect, but still the way they own their imperfect selves, authentically is truly amazing. They accept when they make a mistake and they don't allow their ego to stop them from learning things they don't know.
I believe that you should only try to be the best version of yourself and no one else. Being genuine and unique is so admirable. It can sometimes be hard to stay true to yourself in this crazy world. So, those that can always be true to themselves are the best.
Owning up to who you are is an incredible quality, being real and confident in your own skin. It also means sticking to your own values and ideas, even if they're different from others.
The way some people dedicate themselves to their job, or hobby, shows others the amount of passion they have. People can’t help but admire the way they talk about the love of their life, their love and dedication for their work.
Or even the finer things like the way they describe the beautiful vacation they had, the intensity and passion while they describe something they like glimmers in their eyes and it truly leaves people wonderstruck with their aura, and it's contagious.
A highly admirable quality in a person, is their ability to express their emotions in a healthy way. This means being open to talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly, to be able to laugh with joy, and cry tears of sadness where it feels appropriate.
An emotionally stable person can express his/her emotions, but is not overpowered by them. Someone who knows how to be emotionally available for other people and be affectionate, and I always look for people who are emotionally expressive and softer at heart.
These are some admirable qualities about people and it's truly attractive. It's beautiful to own up to your own values and qualities. This is a crazy world and it's great of have people with these traits around you.
I hope to develop these qualities within myself in my own journey of self development.
